Madam Sec, are you a Keynesian? Sen Kennedy leaves Yellen bubbling for an answer she doesn't want to give, but I can answer that for her... A short thread on her history, where she comes from, what has she studied and taught, better, and what has she accomplished?

The market currently expects rate cuts starting in July. Seems like no matter what Powell has said over the last year, the market has not believed it. So far, Powell has been true to his word. I suspect the market is too optimistic on the timing of rate cuts.

Nasdaq Crypto Custody Crystallizing, Launch Coming Soon: Report

Nasdaq’s hotly anticipated crypto custody suite is taking shape, with a launch reportedly expected before the end of the second quarter.

Bloomberg reported on Friday that Nasdaq Inc., the parent company of the US tech-heavy stock exchange, is “pushing ahead to get all the necessary technical infrastructure and regulatory approvals in place.” Bloomberg cited an interview with Ira Auerbach, senior vice president and head of Nasdaq Digital Assets, in reporting the news.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, BNY Mellon said it would provide custody and transfer services for bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH), specifically, to a number of its institutional clients, according to a Blockworks’ story from the time.

Interpol confirms arrest of crypto fugitive Do Kwon in Montenegro

Interpol says a man arrested in Montenegro is Kwon Do-hyeong, also known as Do Kwon, the disgraced founder of a collapsed crypto company who is wanted in South Korea and the United States on fraud and other charges.

“He was arrested at the airport with counterfeit documentation and is wanted by several countries, including the USA, South Korea, and Singapore,” Adžić said in a Facebook post.

In September, a South Korean court issued an arrest warrant for Kwon, after he was accused of fraud by investors in the country in the wake of the collapse of his company.

Kwon has been charged with fraud and breaches of South Korea’s capital markets law. He said in October that he didn’t believe the charges were legitimate, and claimed they were “politically motivated.”

The crypto developer has repeatedly claimed on Twitter that he was not “on the run,” but refused to disclose his whereabouts due to worries about his personal security.
